The mantra to repeat during those scary, stressful, necessary first days that suck so much

Do you remember your first day at school? At your first job? At your latest one?
How about your first day as a parent? As a spouse? As an adult on their own?

First days are scary. And sometimes they hurt.
But in order to grow and to move on, we need plenty of them. Again and again.

["Fortunate are those who take the first steps", sure thing.
Even more fortunate are those who keep walking]

We need to take the first step. And if it sucks, it helps repeating ourselves that the pain will go away, eventually.

The pain will indeed go away, eventually.
What we earn from those first days, from those first steps, stay with us forever.

After the first day, there is always the second one. Not as scary as the first one.
After the first step, there is always the second one. Not as stressful as the first one.
The third one? Definitely less scary and less stressful than the second one.

After every single first day, and every single first step, you are going to survive. Stronger. And more resilient.
Even if it sucks, right now.
