The behavior you should avoid in your interactions, if you are not Lieutenant Columbo

"One last time".
"One last question".
"One last attempt".

Unless you are the beloved (and unforgotten) Lieutenant Columbo awesomely played by Peter Falk in so many TV episodes, while interacting with the people around you, it doesn't matter if on a personal or a professional level, don't use these words if you don't mean it.

[Unforgettable and unforgotten:
Peter Falk (1927-2011) portrayed Lieutenant Columbo
in Columbo between 1968 and 2003]

Don't say that you are doing something for the very last time and after that you will stop, if that's not true.
Otherwise, you could look like someone who is crying wolf or bluffing in order to get some attention.

Even more if you are the one trying to obtain something, or sell something, don't make promises without being asked if you are not able or not willing to keep them.
