Even if, sadly enough, epidemic outbreaks are way more common than we like to think and thousands of people die every year because of them, the present situation is something nobody has ever experienced, at least on a global scale of such proportions, in almost a whole century.
Feeling overwhelmed, experiencing doubts, being scared... They are all very human reactions... At first.

Simple, even if not easy]
After that, it's a matter of switching gears and taking control back, paying attention to our thoughts, and changing what we want to focus on. Because it matters, because it helps both us and others, because it can make a big difference in the long run.
