If you should make a choice between these two options, what would you go for?

Do you like to be liked?
I hear you saying already "Well, who does not like to be liked!?".
And you are definitely right.

Still, I have another question for you.
Do you like to be loved?

If you should choose between both options, what would you go for?
Being liked? Being loved?

[To be liked, or to be loved, that is the question.

They are not the same.
And they mean very different things to different people.

One is ephemeral, evanescent, and short-lived.
Someone can like you for ten minutes, for whatever reason, and vanish from your life without a trace immediately after.
How about being liked because of something you posted on Facebook, your shiny pair of shoes, how lucky you are in the looks department, your latest selfie, or your social status?
Easy come, easy go. No strings attached. A big dopamine shot and you are good to go and to leave for new people and new adventures.

The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.

The other one is enduring, steady, and long-lasting.
It takes patience, effort, work, trust, and commitment. It creates a bond. It is like a cup of hot chocolate in winter when it is freezing cold outside, quiet and warm serotonin that makes you feel home and safe and understood. By someone special that took the time to go under your skin and to really see you.

What would you go for?
If you ask me, I know what I would go for at any time.
