Quite often, emotions are considered as something "less of".
You don't believe me? Think about the last time someone described you as being "emotional" about something and how much you liked it.
Even if they are seen as something illogical, touchy-feely, and often pretty annoying because unpredictable or distracting, emotions are incredibly important both in our personal and in our professional lives.
Our well-being, our creativity, our productivity, our stress level, and yes, even our decisions, are strongly influenced by our emotional states.

Some of us have been lucky enough to grow up around emotionally intelligent adults and are used to talk about their emotions, recognize them, and express them.
The good news? It's never too late to learn how to "read" and understand our emotions.
The very first step, the one today's coaching question is all about, is learning to pay attention to our emotions and how they make us feel.
A good way of practicing is identifying the strongest emotion of the day: How it felt, how long it lasted, in which context and with which people we experienced it, and so on.

"What has been the strongest emotion you experienced today?"
