Dealing with fear, John Wayne style

Fear is something natural, useful, and understandable.
To let yourself be ruled by fear is not.

Living in a different reality or country by speaking another language, exposed to unexpected situations, misunderstandings, and inconveniences that you are not able to handle well because too often totally unknown to you awakens fears that are part of you, that are deep inside of you even if you don't know it. Or you just didn't it until now.

Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway.
John Wayne [born Marion Robert Morrison, 1907-1979]

And exactly at that moment, when fear is knocking on your door, you have to decide very quickly if you want to be John Wayne or John Doe. Then, and only then, you can open the door and live the life you chose for you.
