During coaching sessions and in day-by-day life, I often meet people very self-conscious about doing stuff for themselves, afraid of being perceived by others as "selfish" or heartless just because they take care of their needs and/or are aware of their wants.
As long as you are not just worried about yourself and yourself only more often than not, as long as you are not the kind of person that lives like they would be alone on this planet or, above all, as long as you are not used to letting the people around you down on a regular basis without caring and taking responsibility for your own actions and how they affect others, why should you be ashamed of taking care of yourself?
I think that most people, while worrying about their phantasmal egoistic attitude, forget something very important about being generous and able to share with others.
Taking good care of yourself is the very first step, in order to be able to take good care of others.
Taking good care of yourself is the very first step, in order to be able to take good care of others.
You can only share with others what you have, and if you don't have anything (emotionally, physically, economically, and so on) since having something or trying to achieve something for yourself would be selfish, how would you expect to be able to give something to others?
So, for yourself and for others... What can you do for yourself today?
