There are red flags, and red flags.
Some red flags are practically eternal, others are as transitory as the next fast fashion summer trend.
Eternal red flags are things that you consider a no-no right now and have been considering a no-no for years.
No big changes here, since we are talking about something, big or small, that is basically inconceivable or very upsetting to you, and seeing those as a red flag contributes to defining you as you, as you are now.
In order for this to change, you would have to change yourself first.
Transitory red flags are things that you consider a no-no right now but it has not always been like this or maybe in the near future, under other circumstances, they would not bother you that much any longer.
And yet now, right now, those are quite annoying for you, even if this is just a temporary state of mind, a situational attitude, a phase with an end in sight.
It may be that not all transitory red flags are worth your time and energy.
Therefore, being able to recognize and tell both types of red flags apart can do wonders for your productivity and peace of mind and, last but not least, for your self-awareness as well.
Coaching question of the day:
"What's your main red flag these days?"
