There are plenty of opinions and theories, out there, about how many days it takes to build a new habit. Tell me yours, I'll tell you mine...
21 days? 30 days? 60 days? Is there anyone who wants to offer more?
How about one entire year?
Building a new habit sounds more appealing than giving up an existing one that we don't like. Both options require time, a lot of time to be honest.
Day in and day out, it is all about observing ourselves while dealing with the habit we don't want, recognizing any trigger related to it, deciding what to do instead, committing to it... and then doing it every single day. A lot of days in a row.
[It is up to you if, by that, you mean the next six month of 2020
or the next twelve months until mid-2021...
How are you going to commit?]
Even if we are going to fail and not to be consistent all the time. Even if we are going to be less than perfect. Even if this is going to be hard, tricky, and frustrating at first. And maybe even after a couple of months... or for the whole year.
The secret? Keep working on it. Keep trying. Keep committing.
