Even when we are not busy while bragging about how incredibly busy we are, we usually have plenty to do.
Or, to put it better, there would be plenty of things that we could do and that would make sense in order to improve our work, our career, our daily life.
It doesn't matter if we take care of them or not, we all have some kind of "homework" waiting for us, things that landed somewhere on our to-do list: tasks related to a project, gigs or invoices, follow-ups of any kind, cold calls, e-mails, personal errands, chores at home, hobbies, new ideas... and the list can go on and on.
[My homework? I am glad you asked.
Blogging, writing, learning, coaching.
How about you?]
How should we look at them? While feeling stressed and overwhelmed? Worried that we are not fast enough, efficient enough? With a sense of guilt?
How about experiencing anticipation and curiosity instead?
Deciding which "homework" can have a high priority in our to-do list can make a huge difference and shape not only our days and weeks but also give us back the magic of purpose, of doing something that matters, of filling our time with meaningful activities.
