Coaching, reloaded - Coaching question of the day #209. - Our criteria for good questions

The quality of our life is related to the quality of the questions we ask, they say.
It's a pity, then, that way too often we just say "That's a very good question!" out of politeness, it doesn't matter whether or not we actually believe it, and that we rarely ask ourselves good questions.

Still, in order to learn how to ask good questions, it's important to reflect on what can define one.

To me, there are at least three elements to consider:
- Good questions can create a constructive shift in a conversation;
- Good questions can help clarify doubts and inaccurate information;
- Good questions can enhance curiosity and foster awareness.

[Many elements can help us understand
whether or not our questions to ourselves and others are good]

These are, of course, my criteria.
Many other elements may or may not play a role.
Asking good questions is not about checking all the boxes, also because each of us has their own criteria.

Asking good questions is about going on an adventure while carrying with us a magic bag that, at the right moment, will contain exactly the questions we need.
Questions that were not there just one moment before and yet can now influence our thoughts, our emotions, our actions.
Let's pick them wisely.

Coaching question of the day:
