"Nobody's perfect" is not only one of the best final lines in movies ever but also something we like to say a lot.
And yet, even if we keep saying it, we rarely behave as we would mean it.
Otherwise, we would not freak out every time that we are, indeed, not perfect, and that what we do is not perfect either.
We may expect ourselves to be perfect and we may think that others also expect us to be perfect, but the hard truth is that we are, and we will always be, far from perfect. Just like everyone else.
even if it may look a little bit different from the previous one]
And that's good news: If we would be perfect, we could not grow, learn, change, develop, evolve, improve.
We can't be perfect, but we can do better every single day. That's the kaizen approach to things.
Instead of worrying about being perfect and what others will say, and what may be wrong with us, and how stupid our last mistake was, we can commit to doing better at every new attempt.
We can embrace the fact that we will not stop to do things in a less than perfect way and that we can learn something from the experience and do better next time.
There is always a next time, even more so when we stop worrying about it.
