Thinking and planning long-term is great, that's for sure.
As long as we are able to not get lost in the blurry territory of whatever our big and shiny plan will need five years from now.
As long as we are able to also keep in mind what we are going to need in the coming days, weeks, and months.
and yet absolutely important for long-term goals as well]
No matter how glorious a big plan may look like from afar, a plan is just as good as the sum of its parts, something we should never forget.
Otherwise, the risk is not only to lose sight of the forest for the trees, like the in the old saying, but also to go too far in the other direction: to focus only on the forest while forgetting the trees altogether.
Even if having a plan for the next year or two is huge, having a plan for the next 30 days is just as important.
In the end, the next two years are nothing more than a series of 30 days in a row waiting for us to make the right decisions, both short-term and long-term.
