For many things in life, most people find it difficult to define how they judge something based on their own personal criteria, and yet they often may say "I can recognize it when I see it".
One of those things is usually quality.
We may tend to think that quality can be easily defined based on clear parameters, data, statistics. But that's not always the case, because the way we see the quality of something is often related to what we believe, what we expect, and what we can tolerate.
And, last but not least, to how much we care.
