When the present doesn't look like we would like it to be, one powerful exercise is thinking about how things are going to be one year from now, if the best outcome we could think about should become real.
Now, with that outcome in mind, we can reflect on how to plan the next 365 days of our life backwards and identify the necessary steps, the possible challenges, the predictable setbacks, the skills and tool of the trade that are going to help us.
This could inspire us about which criteria and which parameters should apply, for us to be satisfied within one year, both with our lives and with ourselves.
