How having a growth mindset, the one celebrated by US-American psychologist Carol Dweck in her famous book 'Mindset: The New Psychology of Success' (2006), can make the difference in someone's job, career, learning progress, physical health, and even in their love life, has been the main topic in many conversations I had over the past two weeks.
For people not familiar (yet) with the concept and curious to know more about it, I think there is nothing better than this quote by Venus Williams about the magic that can be created with the right synergy between having a growth mindset, cherishing progress, and embracing hard work as a daily necessity in order to become better.

There’s always a price. If you decide not to put in the work, there’s a price. You won’t succeed or get to the level you possibly could. If you do put in the work, there will be sacrifice there too—your time, or your sleep, or your peace of mind. There’s always a price and you have to pay it.
Embracing a growth mindset means embracing humility, hard work, curiosity, and openness in order to become better. Not because of inborn talent, not because of a mysterious gift, not because that was written in the stars. There is a price to be paid, and it is usually a high one. And yet a very valuable one.
Coaching question of the day:
"What's the price you are willing to pay in order to grow?"
