Coaching, reloaded - Coaching question of the day #124. - Two kinds of narrative

Usually, there are two different kinds of narrative: What you think of yourself and how you see yourself, and how others think of you and how they see you.
These two narratives can be either almost identical, or somehow similar, or even strongly dissimilar, and every other nuance in between as well.

The way people remember and describe you, what they consider typical, and what makes you recognizable or "famous" in your social circles can be something you are proud of, or something you would like to change.

[Compiling an inventory of all the reasons
why you are known for can be extremely inspiring,
and a great self-reflection tool]

It may be a funny story, a special talent, some kind of rare skill set, your generosity and your work ethic, or that saying that you have been saying again and again for years now. Or it may be something that doesn't fit with your aspirations or your goals.

In case the reason why you are known for and the one why you would like to be known for should not be the same, it is quite powerful to have a look at both, realize where you are right now and what your strengths are, and reflect on how you can go where you aspire to be eventually.

Coaching question of the day:
"What are you known for?"
