Coaching, reloaded - Coaching question of the day #211. - Someone else's "long-term" VS your "long-term"

If you are game for a short experiment, ask a couple of people you think you know pretty well what "long-term planning" means for them.
It doesn't matter whether they are colleagues, old friends, clients, or anything in between: Their answers could surprise you.

Without talking out loud about it, we usually have a pretty clear idea of what "long-term" is for us, and we tend to assume that everyone is going to share our views, even if this is rarely the case.

[Days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries...
Or even eternity?
There are countless versions of "long-term planning"]

Also, it doesn't make a big difference whether or not we actually plan long-term on a regular basis, just once in a while or for special occasions, or not at all: We still know what "long-term" represents, what we associate with the concept, what could be good (or bad) about it.

How long-term your long-term planning goes is among the factors that can have a significant impact on your life, your career, your health, your relationships.
And this, funny enough, both long-term and short-term.

Coaching question of the day:
"How long-term is long-term planning for you?"
