Coaching, reloaded - Coaching question of the day #278. - A different kind of time traveling

Science fiction movies about big time-machines aside, we often tend to forget that time traveling is possible, and also necessary.
It's possible to "go back to our past" thanks to pictures, personal diaries, memorabilia and keepsakes of any kind, and even clothes, furniture, or audio files.

Why is it necessary? After something is done, a task is completed, new ideas have become part of our belief system, or we got used to our "new normal", we tend to forget how things were before, and above all how we were before.

[Time traveling thanks to pictures, souvenirs, and old files
is a fantastic way to practice thankfulness
for who we are today and how we've got here]

Having a look at our past, once in a while, is a wonderful chance to keep things in perspective, to be thankful for all the steps we took in order to get where we are now, and to remember all those times where things were difficult, and yet we have been able to deal with the situation and carry on.

Time traveling is also a perfect occasion for making a comparison between our present self and our past self: This way, we can see with new eyes how we have changed over time, which things and ideas are still relevant, and what doesn't matter any longer.
A great tool for celebrating our past and designing the future we want.

Coaching question of the day:
"How would time traveling to your past look like?"
