Coaching, reloaded - Coaching question of the day #280. - You, ultimately

"Ultimately" is not one of those trendy words that get in the spotlight a lot, like "truly", "madly", "deeply", or "absolutely".
It may also feel scary at times: so permanent, so conclusive, so obliging... and yet, that's also its beauty and what makes it precious.

When we think about our end goal, our life mission, our calling, the "why" and the "what for" at the beginning and at the end of our journey, we are thinking of what we want to be, feel, experience, think, achieve ultimately, and how this can look like for us.

[If you close your eyes after reading today's question,
what can you see, feel, touch, smell, and experience?]

We may or may not get there, but in the end, aspiring to be there ultimately is what gives meaning and depth to our actions, our decisions, our choices.

Way too often, we get lost in what may look important or urgent right now and we neglect the big picture, the place where we want to be ultimately.
Keeping it in mind on a regular basis, and even asking ourselves now and then if going there is what we still want and consider relevant, can help us staying focused, staying grounded, and staying positive no matter what.

We know where we are going, ultimately.
The rest is just some short-lived detour.

Coaching question of the day:
"Where would you like to be ultimately?"
