The rules are the rules, they say.
And yet they also say that rules are made to be broken. And every other nuance in-between may apply as well.
Rules give us a sense of order, safety, and direction.
Rules limit our creativity, our freedom, our spontaneity. Or maybe rules are actually a very important frame that can help our imagination, our fantasy, and our dreams thrive?
I always believed that breaking the rules for the sake of breaking them is pointless and that in order to break the rules for creating something new we have to know the rules first.
Knowing the rules, and then breaking them on purpose when rules are not relevant any longer.
Isn't it, in the end, what purposeful living is all about?
Coaching question of the day:
"When was the last time you broke the rules on purpose?"
