Just a couple of weeks are separating us from the end of a very unique year and probably the vast majority of us are looking forward to leaving 2020 behind and starting a new chapter.
And yet, even if this desire is understandable, let's just not get lost down the rabbit hole of wishes and new year's resolutions just yet.
Let's dedicate instead five minutes to the things we are thankful for, the ones that make us feel blessed, the ones we've got lucky with. Yes, even during a year like this one.
don't worry: It is never too late to start counting them]
Being able to be thankful even in difficult times and cultivating a habit of gratitude on a regular basis can make a difference both in the short-term (keeping calm and dealing with what is happening right now) and in the long-term (putting things in perspective and finding new ways to stay focused and motivated).
We often take most of our blessings for granted, and we remember that they are not just a given only when we risk losing them or when we are forced to give up on them.
Creating a habit for counting our blessings on a regular basis can be not only a way better reminder but also a useful tool for savoring them more.
Coaching question of the day:
