Coaching, reloaded - Coaching question of the day #67. - The meaning of well-being

Today, someone asked me what well-being means to me.

Amused and surprised at the same time, I realized how difficult it was to put the answer into words, even if in my head I was absolutely aware of what well-being means to me.

In the end, I went for:

Well-being for me means feeling well-rested, physically and mentally fit, having enough free time to being able to relax and rewire, having a lifestyle that makes it possible for me to do many different things I enjoy and to set myself my weekly schedule (work, coaching appointments, other appointments and so on).

[Well-being: just one word,
and yet it can mean so many different things
to so many different people...]

It means sleeping well, eating healthy food that nourishes me, feeling safe, and "in-sync" with the people I share a meaningful connection with.

It means being able to express my opinion and to decide for myself. If I should describe well-being in just one sentence, I would say: "Well-being is for me feeling good in my skin and in my own life choices".

How about you?
