The first question should be another one, to be honest.
We should actually start with the question about whether you consider treating yourself as something acceptable or not.
Some people think that treating oneself is selfish and a waste of time.
There is so much to do, there are so many people that need something, anything, the world is suffering... so why devoting time to oneself?!
And yet, I like to think that without helping ourselves first we are not really able to help others.
Treating ourselves is just as important as taking care of others. If we are mentally, physically, or emotionally depleted, what could be still there for us to donate and give others?
Among many things we can do for others, taking care of ourselves should be one of the non-negotiable ones. It sets an example, it tells a story about self-respect and self-acceptance, it can show others how to be nicer to themselves as well.
Because yes, it doesn't just come easy to everyone, and experiencing someone else able to do so, without arrogance and self-entitlement, can be life-changing. And it's quite pleasurable as well.
Coaching question of the day:
"How do you usually treat yourself?"

[If you haven't been treating yourself so far...
