We tend to think that most of what we have is indispensable, that we could not live without it.
And yet, it is enough to be in an extreme situation of any kind to realize that most of what we have is not indispensable, after all.
Not indispensable, unless it is.
Some things are actually indispensable, just like air, water, food, shelter, and some degree of affection.
On top of it, other things are indispensable to some of us, depending on who we are, what we need, what makes us tick, even if they can be absolutely meaningless to others.
Knowing those and understanding the why behind it is indispensable as well.
