Nice words can go a long way, even if their power is often underestimated.
"They're just words", some people say.
And yet, if we actually mean what we are saying, nice words can make a huge difference, both for us and for the people around us.
Interestingly enough, this also applies to self-talk and to any sort of internal monologue we can have with ourselves.
One of the aspects that get unnoticed way too often is that nice words can have an impact not only at the moment they are pronounced, but also afterward: They can become a treasured memory, a life-changing experience, a bonding occasion, a reference point for building resilience when needed.
[Nice words are magic,
so let's spread them around like pixie dust...]
Instead of belittling and underestimating nice words, it's time to use them more, to enjoy them more, and to embrace the change they bring with them.
