Coaching, reloaded - Coaching question of the day #241. - Being pragmatic is the new black

According to the Oxford Languages dictionary, acting in a pragmatic way means "dealing with things sensibly and realistically in a way that is based on practical rather than theoretical considerations".
In other words, "pragmatic" is a sophisticated word for saying "down-to-earth", "with a can-do attitude", "reasonable", and "no-nonsense".

And yet, for some mysterious reason, being pragmatic is rarely seen as something interesting or attractive.

[You may not know it yet, but "pragmatic"
is just another word for "sexy"!]

When was the last time that you heard someone describing themselves with "I am very pragmatic!" in order to sound cool? Yes, I thought so.

No matter the unfair treatment this personality trait usually gets, being pragmatic is more often than not a vital ingredient for staying flexible, being adaptable, and becoming more resilient when necessary, both in your personal and professional life.

Let's get curious and explore in which arenas you are pragmatic already, and where there is still room for improvement, and for growth. Be bold, be unshakable... be pragmatic.

Coaching question of the day:
"On a scale of 0 to 10, how pragmatic can you be?"
