Even if we all need some help, once in a while, accepting help from others or being thankful for it is not always easy, for many.
"Getting help" has often a bad reputation, as if the person would be a "loser" for needing it, and telling someone "You should get some help" is usually a way of suggesting that they hit the rocks.
And yet, accepting help from others doesn't have to be something scary, dramatic, or life-changing.
It doesn't mean we don't have our act together or that we are hopeless. Sometimes, it may just be that with the help of someone else we can achieve something faster, more effectively, or in a pleasant way.
It can be something small and yet valuable: We may need a piece of information, some support with a task, or even just a smile and a nice word.
Accepting help from others, being able to acknowledge it, and be thankful for it is like a superpower.
It's never too late for learning how to say "Yes, thank you. I could use some help" and for feeling lucky that we have someone helpful and generous in our lives.
