You don't have to go as far as Kate Beringer (Phoebe Cates) in Joe Dante's Gremlins for not liking Christmas and Christmas presents. Before this powerful reframing, I was not that much into Christmas as well, to use a big understatement.

Now, while seeing Christmas as a wonderful chance to make a difference and to give back, even better if in a meaningful and minimalistic way, I prepared for you a list of 10 posts from the blog that can help you change your life over time, embrace a new mindset, switch gears and learn how to love all the baby steps that are necessary for achieving something big, where "big" means "something big for you", in whatever shape and form this can be.
Here you have the first five posts. Enjoy and stay tuned for Part #2. of the list!
What if someone would give you a present that you can use for the rest of your life, every day, in order to live a better life? Yes, that's totally possible.
The best gift you will ever get and give others? Your precious time. Time is not money - Time is priceless, and even more if you are going to see it as your best tool for growing and thriving.
What's a gift for you? Which kind of gifts are you willing to give and to accept? Do you expect something in return? Life is easier and your relationships become more relaxed, when you know the answer to these questions.
[Lately, I got asked what movies I consider a "must" for the holidays.
Here you have five of them:
Gremlins (1984) by Joe Dante
It's a Wonderful Life (1946) by Frank Capra
Scrooged (1988) by Richard Donner
The Princess Bride (1987) by Rob Reiner
Trading Places (1983) by John Landis]
Less is more. Or, to put it better, your own version of "less" can be so much "more" to you and it can help you shape a new way of thinking and a new way of life. One day at the time.
When you think about "giving a present", trust is for sure not the first idea to come to your mind. What if it would, and how can trust influence your interactions, if you pay attention to it?
* The perfect book to give as a present is, of course, The Little Prince. Period.
