As our attention span keeps getting shorter and shorter and our sense of entitlement for getting everything now and without any discomfort tricks us in thinking that this is always going to be possible... being able to wait and to do so with patience and self-awareness is becoming a very crucial superpower.
Life, real life, is full of waiting, and this from the very beginning: before a new life can start, there is some waiting. This never changes: every new chapter requires some waiting, and some work to be done in between.
[Patience is not only a virtue like the old saying suggests.
Patience is something worth learning, and savoring]
Waiting can be difficult to master, and yet over time can feel like savoring, and cherishing. Like enjoying every second of the anticipation related to the waiting itself.
Thomas Alva Edison famously said: "Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits". There is no time and place for being impatient while we are busy... waiting.
Coaching question of the day:
"What's worth your waiting and your patience?"
