Emotions, both our emotions and the ones of the people around us, are contagious.
Luckily enough, this is true not only when we have to deal with a very grumpy acquaintance or a rude barista, but also when we exchange some words with a friendly stranger on the street or we take a walk in silence with our best friend.
Mood, words, attitude, action, body language, tone of voice... Everything can convey an emotion. And spread it.
Therefore it's so important to surround ourselves with kind, self-aware, emotionally intelligent people, the ones that leave you better than they found you.
the merrier. Treasure them and be thankful for them]
And then, there are the people able to lighten up a room (or the day of someone else) with just a smile.
Few things are as strong as an authentic and generous smile and I am quite sure you know how one of such smiles looks like, and whether or not there are people in your life with a smile that is so open, lively, and contagious that you can't be sad for too long around them.
Even if their smile is just a short nod that means "I know it's hard for you right now, and I know you've got this and you will find your way, eventually."
