My boots are made for walkin', or 5 things you can do when you feel lost

I am pretty sure that this happened to you as well, at one point or another in your life: feeling stuck, feeling that you don't know what to do, feeling that you have no clue about what you actually want.

These boots are made for walkin'
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots
Are gonna walk all over you
Nancy Sinatra, These Boots Are Made for Walkin’
(These Boots Are Made for Walkin’, 1966)

Let's be honest. Feeling that way is not funny at all. And it is even less funny having the impression that you are not yourself any longer, that you are somehow lost and unable to move forward or to move on when it would be necessary.

[What to do?
Feeling unable to move on, to take a decision or to solve a problem
is no fun at all...]

And yet it doesn't last forever. It never lasts forever. Exactly when you think that you are about to spin around for good, things start to make sense again. Suddenly, you are not lost any longer. Suddenly you know exactly what you have to do.

Such a moment is pure magic.
But what you can do while waiting for that moment?

Back on tracks, or getting another chance to say 'Hello' and 'I love you'

Sometimes you get another chance, in life.
It doesn't matter if you deserve it or not, you just get it.

While getting another chance you can decide to change absolutely everything and to start anew, or to get back on tracks, to get back to what you know, to restore your past.

In both cases, getting another chance is pure gold. It makes possible for you to see your life with new eyes, to fix your mistakes, to say 'Hello' and 'I love you' one more time, to stop worrying for things not worth your precious time.

To do things in a better way. To be better.
To be honest, with yourself and with others. To care more.
To try once again. To learn once again. To smile once again.
Even if you are alone while doing it. It doesn't matter.

If you can get another chance, be grateful for it. Say thanks to whoever you have to for it, and don't waste this possibility.

The clear correlation between Brad Pitt's six-pack and unforgettable kisses

It doesn't matter how badly you would love to be kissed by someone. Most of the times, to merely want to be kissed by that someone is just not enough to get what you want. Most of the times you will have to do something or be something for getting there.

[A not at all easily obtained kiss: the famous love scene
between Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire)
and Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst)

Easily obtained kisses aren't worth it, an old proverb says.

Charlie Brown's life philosophy about goodbyes

In a big city like Berlin, people come and go on a regular basis and it is very common to get to know someone that is just not going to stay and become part of one's life.

At the very same time that someone is moving to Berlin, someone else is leaving the city (and maybe the second one is going to live in the flat where the first one was used to live as well... but this is another story).

[One of the ultimate movies about saying goodbye:
The Sound of Music (1965) by Robert Wise]

Someone stays here for a couple of years while studying, someone else spends only a couple of weeks because of a project.
Someone decides to live in the city because of its opportunities, someone else goes away while getting a better job.
Someone attends an interesting and convenient workshop, someone else wants to travel around the world with a one-way ticket.
Someone rents an apartment while being in love with someone else, someone else relocates to another country after a break-up. And so on.

No biggie, after a while. It becomes your "new" normal and you take into account that whoever you met, is not going to stay. At the beginning, it was a very different story.

A big news published in advance on this blog, just for you, just today...

This is not official yet but...
I want you to be the first ones to know that I am going to become a Suicide Girl and to model for a calendar for naked tattooed women.
So everyone will be able to see all my tattoos and to have pics of them, at last.

Dita Von Teese, stand aside... I am coming!
